Primarc E-FeMn-C Mn-Cr-Ni Electrode

Descriptions

Primarc is an Austenitic, rutile basic coated high alloyed Mn-Cr Ni electrode for welding hardfacing Cr and Cr-Ni steels, dissimilar steels and cast irons.

Applications

Primarc is specially designed for welding and regeneration of wear parts of 12-14% Mn steels, because of high tensile strength and impact energy. Weldamentis resistant on impact, wear, abrasion and cavitations.

Procedures

Should be used at a low amperage with a short arc to avoid deterioration of the base metal. Particularly with Mn steel. The interpass temperature should be kept as low as possible. Where possible, submerge Mn parts in water, with the weld area dry above the water.

Redrying

If moist re-dry at 300 deg for one hour.
