Characteristics
ISOARC 310 gives a smooth flow and easy slag removal at low amperages. The weld deposit is finely rippled. For porosity free welds, use dry electrodes.
Applications
In addition to its heat and scaling resistance, ISOARC 310 also gives good toughness at sub-zero temperatures as occur in gas reducing plants. The electrodes are widely used on furnace lining, grates, burners, heat exchangers, pipework and fittings.
Procedures
To avoid heat accumulation, keep the arc s short as possible and use low amperage with stringer bead technique. Remove the slag after each pass. On DC equipment use positive polarity.
Redrying
Should electrodes become moist re-dry at 350° C for 1 hour
